How to Dominate the Platform Adventure Leaderboard (Tips & Tricks)

Most players who try Platform Adventure for the first time make the same mistakes — rushing through levels, missing coins, and getting caught by the same spike trap on Level 3. This guide covers everything you need to climb the leaderboard.

Understand the Scoring System

Before strategy, know how points work:

  • Coins: 100 points each
  • Enemy stomps: 200 points each
  • Level completion bonus: 500 points
  • Lives remaining: preserved across levels, so dying costs you future stomp opportunities
The implication: coins and stomps are worth more than speed. A player who clears every coin and stomps every enemy will outscore a speedrunner almost every time.

Level 1: Build Your Coin Route

Level 1 is the easiest, but it's where most players leave 400–600 points on the table. The coins aren't all on the obvious path — several are placed above moving platforms that most players skip entirely.

Key tip: When you see a moving platform going upward, ride it. There's almost always a coin cluster at the top of its arc.

Level 2: Stomp Patterns Matter

Level 2 introduces faster enemies. The instinct is to avoid them, but each stomp is worth 200 points. The trick is to approach from above — jump from a platform edge rather than running at them on the ground.

Spike traps: Level 2 has three spike sections. The third is timed — there's a moving platform that passes over a spike row. Wait for the platform to be at its leftmost point before jumping onto it, then ride it across.

Level 3: The Hardest Coins Are Worth It

Level 3 has the highest coin density of any level, but several coins are placed directly above spike traps. These are not accidents — they're tests.

The spike-coin technique: Jump from the platform to the left of the spike, collect the coin at the apex of your jump, and land back on the same platform. You never need to land on the spike row itself.

The final enemy cluster: Before the portal exit, there are three enemies in a row. Stomp the first, use the bounce to reach the second, and use that bounce to reach the third. That's 600 points in one chain — the highest single-sequence score in the game.

General Tips

  • Don't rush the portal: The level completion bonus is fixed at 500 points regardless of time. Take the extra 10 seconds to grab every coin.
  • Use invincibility frames: After taking a hit, you have a brief window of invincibility. You can walk through an enemy during this window — use it to reposition rather than panic-jumping into a spike.
  • Mobile players: The right-half tap for jump is more responsive than it looks. Practice the timing on Level 1 before attempting the spike-coin technique on Level 3.
